Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY50 km / 31 mls

Private transfer to Reykjavik. 3 nights stay in a superior hotel in Iceland’s capital. Welcome drink & gourmet dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Included choice of activities: Horseback riding or whale watching or extra sightseeing, depending on arrival time or departure time.

Day 2: WEST ICELAND, GLACIER AND ICE CAVE330 km / 205 mls

We start with a city tour of Reykjavik and see highlights of Iceland’s exciting capital. Then we head west. Borgarfjörður is known as the Saga Valley because of its many important historical events. We visit Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring which produces 180 litres per second of water that is nearly boiling – 97° Celsius. Nearby, we visit a local family and their horse farm, where you will be able to hug an Icelandic horse or take a selfie with your new friend. The family members tell us about living and farming in rural Iceland. Hraunfossar is a series of waterfalls pouring from beneath a wide lava field. Barnafoss – the Children’s falls, is nearby with its own tragic tale. We travel back along the scenic shores of Hvalfjordur fjord.

Included activity: Monster-Truck tour on Langjökull glacier & visit to the world’s biggest manmade ice cave.

Day 3: GOLDEN CIRCLE260 km / 161 mls

Today we travel the Golden Circle Route. The first stop is at an Icelandic wool outlet store, just to see what they do with all those sheep! We continue inland to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We travel the Golden Circle route and see steam rising from the Geysir geothermal fields as we arrive. There is a variety of hot springs and bubbling pools. The original geyser is now dormant but has been replaced by Strokkur, “the Churn”, which erupts at 5-10 minute intervals. On we travel to Gullfoss, a double waterfall that tumbles 34 meters into the Hvítá river and attracts tourists and travellers in summer and winter. Our final stop is at the Secret Lagoon for a relaxing geothermal bath. Back in town, we visit the observatory deck with amazing views of Iceland’s capital and the man-made ice-cave & glacier exhibition at the Pearl, followed by a farewell dinner with panoramic vistas over Reykjavik.
